Tanilba House (c1831) is proudly and boldly different to normal venues.Our unique combination of rustic colonial charm, three acres of beautiful, whimsical gardens and an incredible setting overlooking the bay in Port Stephens makes Tanilba truly one of a kind :)
We only hold c25 weddings a year so we strive to make sure every single one is as personal and perfect as it can be. There is no wedding factory approach here! We get to know our couples and personally provide outstanding support and service. Our packages have lots of inclusions that are often extra costs for couples, and they are simply great value. We also strive to be as flexible as possible so couples get the personal wedding day they have always wanted.

All our wedding packages include the following:
. Choice of magical ceremony and reception locations.. A broad choice of photography settings which include:. A beautiful, grand, convict built stone homestead. A stone convict built gaol . A beautiful stone walled all weather conservatory. 3 acres of stunning whimsical gardens all filled with magical evening lighting . Broad colonial surround verandahs . A stunning 30 meter stone arbour covered with gorgeous vines and flowers . An incredible twin "fig tree cathedral" area with two huge 160+ year old fig trees. 1,000's of fairy lights throughout the reception areas and gardens. A stunning stone mosaic Temple. Waterfront parks and a bay beach only meters away. Iron gates, stone chairs, wishing chair, wine barrels, cable reels and huge range of vintage props . Choose from a drinks package or BYO and hire our bar.. Can cater for up to 90 people. Ask us about the abundance of local accommodation available for a destination wedding

If you’ve always dreamed of designing your own unique wedding in a truly unparalleled venue then this package is for you. With so many rustic indoor and garden spaces to choose from you can let your imagination run wild!
This package is unique compared to other DIY wedding options in that we do much of the set up and pack down grunt work for you. We set up your ceremony space, arrange tables, chairs and any other venue set up/pack down according to your wedding vision in your chosen areas. All you have to do is style it! Our bespoke package gives you the flexibility to choose all your own preferred suppliers and styling.
Inclusions:
. Create a bespoke wedding unique to you as a couple, by choosing your own suppliers and providers.
. Access to style on the day before and the day of your wedding.. 6-hours of hire for your wedding ceremony and reception.. Access on the day of your wedding for the bridal party to dress in a bridal dressing room for up to 4 people, plus access to take pre-wedding photos in the house and gardens.. Time to breakdown and collect your personal items the following day.
. Choice of arbours to use, or bring your own.
. Rustic bench seating or wooden chair ceremony seating
. Elegant signing table for ceremony.. Rustic timber dining tables and wooden chairs to suit your guest numbers.
. Add our drinks package, or supply your drinks and hire our rustic bar made from 150 year old wood and tin with clawfoot bath "esky". Bar hire Includes RSA staff, bar set up and pack down plus refrigeration. . Rustic dancefloor "house" and photobooth hut made from wooden slabs, iron and shingles. Cake table and gift table.
. Use of cable reels, wine barrels, a range of rustic props and garden seating
. Surround sound system provided throughout the house and gardens for use with digital devices and playlists.. Fairy light strewn dance floors for your DJ or acoustic performers.
. Covered rustic dance floor area. Optional accommodation available in the maids quarters for up to 4 people
